Nassau Chromium is the only Chrome shop on Long Island and it shows. They make up their prices as they go along. Their customer service flat out sucks and their workmanship is poor. I guess they feel confident that all customers have to go to them since they are the only chrome shop in town. But guess what ? They lost my business. And they lost potential business from my friends. If you are restoring a car. Don't waste your time. You will only get disgusted. They cashed my checks early but didn't do the work on time as promised (months later). Then, they charge me crazy prices for tiny stuff. They claim to have a $150 minimum. So, I guess you have to make sure you are bringing a lot of items to make sure you don't get ripped off. Otherwise, they will change the prices to get a $150. Then, you get the parts with pits still in the finish. I will go to out of state from now on. You can not put a price on aggravation. And don't try to call the owner , Shirley. They won't put her on the phone. You would think working people would have respect for other working (blue collar) people. They suck ! No scientific formulas here. I guess they do not cater to any demographic. Good luck to anyone looking for chrome work. But do your homework and use the web. I am sure others will want your business and work for it !
