Do not, REPEAT Not rent from Budget car rental. After many years of trying to trust car rental companies, I have been burned, once again by Budget at the Terminal 2 location. I arrived in Minneapolis on 28 Aug 2014 at 1:50 pm. Several passengers stood in line waiting for over a hour to get our vehicles, while several agents milled around the counter texting and talking on cell phones. During this time we watched several other car companies process their customers and send them to the cars. At 3;00 pm I was called to the counter and referred the agent to my USAA reservation and after staring into a blank computer screen for what felt like several minutes, he looked at me to state " we do not have the vehicle of your choosing". Since its not your fault, we will put you in a different car at no extra cost. YEP, no cost to me is $66.95 which is what I am now being billed. When I found my car it appeared as though someone became ill in the passengers seat. I attempted to notify the booth clerk, who was to busy texting to hear my complaints. I had to get 200 miles down the road to my mom's funeral and left in the car.This is not the first time with Budget....its happened several times in Austin,Texas; Honolulu, Hawaii; Hilo, Hawaii. I have rented cars from many different companies over the last 10 years, but have had the most dishonest and severe rental problems with Budget.
