The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office s patrol division includes transport, water patrol and emergency squad units. It also has homeland security, emergency services and internal affairs units. The office maintains a law enforcement academy for citizens in Minnesota. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office has staff of more than 800 individuals. It also provides fingerprinting solutions and maintains an adult detention division that manages its jail.
