Island delivers is the worst, wayfair needs to change who they do business with or I’m never shopping wayfair again just because of this company. Only gave them one star because it won’t let me give them a zero.

I ordered a mattress from Nectar and paid $149 for "White Glove Set Up and Removal" PLUS a $20 "Local disposal fee." Island Deliveries arrived when they said, withing the 4 hour window they gave me and brought the new mattress into my apartment with no problem. They refused to take the old mattress because it had stains on it (it was old)! Very poor service and I told Nectar to find a better Delivery Agent in the area.

I was worried that this whole delivery was going to be a nightmare because of all the bad reviews, but they were surprisingly pleasent and quick.

If I could give Island Deliveries a negative review, I would. I can't begin to share what a nightmare this company is. I have a business account with Wayfair/AllModern and have a large home remodel going on.

First, in the beginning of the week, they delivered a daybed and put it in my garage. Mind you, I didn't order a daybed but a large kohler medicine cabinet. I also didn't ask them to put in my garage - but how nice. I let them know of the mistake and they picked up the daybed. I didn't mind the mistake as I didn't need my item immediately. They then didn't contact me to deliver my item. It showed up days later.

I then had a $1300 bathtub being delivered. I called them four times to ask if they could put in my garage. I knew it would be too heavy for me to lift alone. Finally, when I connected with them the woman I spoke with was incredibly rude. I shrugged it off thinking everything would be okay. I then spoke to the delivery guy to ensure we would be good, he ensured me we would. He also said "you can have your husband lift it - it isn't too heavy." I informed him I didn't have a husband.

When I got home, this is what I saw (see pictures.) not only did they not put it in the garage, they lugged it up three stairs and set this bathtub on its nose!! The box states not to do so and they still did. The pressure also caused the corner to be crushed and the top to tip off.

I called the delivery guy and when I said my name he hung up on me. I called back and he answered and said he couldn't do anything about it. He then said it wasn't possible to set in my garage, even though he did earlier in the week without my guidance. I then said that at the very least they could have set it on its bottom on my patio. Why would you ever lug it up the stairs, block the door and set it on its nose?! I've contacted Wayfair and told them I won't order any big ticket items if they use Island anymore. What a joke!

This company, Island Deliveries, delivered a sleeper sofa for me from Wayfair. First of all, the delivery men were not strong enough to lift this sleeper. Going up the stairs they scratched up my white railings, taking paint off and leaving black marks. They also dented one of the walls. I could deal with those couple damages. However, when they tried to fit this sofa sleeper into the bedroom that I paid for them to deliver it to, they scratched up all three doorways in that hallway, include the wooden cupboard. All three doorframes need to be sanded down and repainted. Cabinet doors need to be replaced. They could not get the sleeper to fit despite measuring before and after that it should have fit. I suggested we just put it in the basement, even though that is not where I wanted it. The delivery man said "Why didn't you tell me this an hour ago!" in a loud voice. 1) I didn't want it in the basement, 2) They had not been there for one hour. The same delivery man said "I shouldn't even be here, this was only supposed to take 15-20 minutes." At this point I became fearful of the situation due to his hostility towards me. They proceeded to take the couch downstairs which resulted in numerous amounts of damage. A huge hole is in my front entry wall, which will need drywall patch and repainting. The railings which were already damaged became severely more damaged with black marks and paint scratched off. The wall was scratched all the way down. I took 18 pictures of the damage, which did not even cover everything because it was just everywhere. I sent an e-mail with an explaination and the pictures, and we called the company as soon as the delivery men left. I did not want to cause any issues with the delivery men while they were here because I was fearful of them and I just wanted them to leave. It has been 6 days total and I have not received a call back or an e-mail.
