Went to this establishment because of the high praise received on Food Network. Really disappointing! High prices..not so much food. The spare ribs were so tough we couldn't cut them with a steak knife. They had to be returned to the kitchen. The baby backs that were given to us instead were not much better, we were then informed that their ribs are not "fall off the bone". Well I would prefer not to have to gnaw the meat off either! At the end of the night we had a $75 bill for one rack of ribs, a pulled pork sandwich, and a childs meal + drinks(very expensive). I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone...the atmosphere is terrible, the service was terrible, and the food was terrible.

The staff is curt, condescending, and rude. The on-the-bone rib meat is skimpy, over-cooked, tasteless and completely dried-out, almost to the point of being inedible. Even the french fries are over-cooked, dry, and tasteless (use plenty of ketchup!). The coleslaw is watery and sour with no creamy quality whatsoever. All in all, one of the worst rib experiences I have ever had in my life.There are so many other great rib joints in Minneapolis don't waste your time (or money) on this place...

THEY COOK HERE OVER REAL WOOD! FOR OVER 60 YEARS THEY HAVE DONE REAL PIT SMOKED QUE. IF YOU LIKE THE REAL THING, CHEW OF THE BONE ,DRY, CRISP, NAKED BARBECUE, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. ALSO, GREAT SMOKED WINGS,BRISKET, AND EVEN BEEF RIBS. FEATURED ON THE FOOD NETWORK AND WINNER OF NUMEOUS AWARDS. DON'T FORGET THE HOMEMADE ONION RINGS! GREAT ,FRIENDLY SERVICE IN A UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE,FRE PARKING AND A FULL BAR. WHERE EATING IS BELIEVING.

Great food and service

Get a bunch of friends together and order the great starters. It is a greasy delight- can't do it everyday, but it is fun once in a while!
