North Hennepin Community College is one of the leading educational institutions in the United States. Located in Brooklyn Park, Minn., the college has been operational for more than 65 years. A part of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, it enrolls more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. North Hennepin Community College is approved by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college offers a wide variety of activities and programs, such as leadership center, campus recreation, career services, career counseling, testing and disability services, international student solutions, student newspaper, residential programs, service learning center, and student organizations. It offers courses in several academic areas, including accounting, applied management, biochemistry, biophysics, computer engineering, corporate financial management, criminal justice, criminology, earth science, and economics. The college also offers majors in electrical engineering, English and creative writing, media communications, entrepreneurial studies, exercise and sports science, risk management, world history, and foreign languages and literature.
