I as well had my hair braided and both sides of my tempals had major hair loss. They go great work but braid too tight.

I had cornrows with extension done to my hair. A week later I had to take the braids out because they were way to tight even after asking the woman who was braiding my hair several times to not to pull my hair to tightly.. I ended up with a patch missing on the side of my head.. they will tear you edges out!
