If you are reluctant to take your law mower, snow blower, weed trimmer, etc. to the local hardware store or small engine garage mechanic for repairs, fear no more. Here is a great alternative. Go to Robbinsdale Marine. These guys do superb work at a reasonable price and they will turn your repair around as quickly as you can imagine. Understandably, if you want your lawn mower serviced on the first weekend of grass cutting season, you can expect their schedule may be a little cramped. Nonetheless, I have taken my outboard motor there, my lawn mower, leaf blower and snow blower for various parts and adjustments over the years and I have always walked away completely satisfied with the workmanship and consistently fair labor cost. As an example, at 8:30 am today I brought them my snow blower, which had a sheared pin in the right auger blade. I asked them to fix that and also change the oil. Three hours (that's hours, not days) later I received a call telling me my machine was ready to be picked up. They had also lubed it and adjusted the height on the front scoop bucket so my auger blades wouldn't drag on the driveway surface, which may have contributed to the pin shearing. Total bill, including parts, labor and tax was $62.72 and they loaded it off and on my truck. They also sell new and used equipment, but I haven't had the opportunity to evaluate them on sales.

Last spring, I wanted my lawn mower tuned up. There was nothing wrong with it, I had owned it several years and wanted the blades sharpened, spark plugs changed, the usual. I lugged it into Marina; it took them over a week to get to it. When I got it home, it wouldn't start. I checked around to see if I could see a problem and found the spark plug was loose. There was no way it would stay in unless I duct taped it. I called them to say I had just wasted over $100 bucks and the guy on the phone said they wouldn't take responsibility. After arguing with me, I said I was reporting them to the BBB, to which he replied "you do what you have to do". These people are awful; I would never go back there. BTW, my lawnmower never worked after that. After spending over $100, it came out ten times worse than when I brought it in.

I have been getting all my small engine and misc. work done here for over 20 years--never a problem. Prompt courteous service at reasonable prices from guys who actually look like they work for a living. I could not reccommend this shop any higher, they are A-1.

I have had these folks work on my lawn mower and boat engines and I have always had good luck with them.
