This was the second Tile Shop location in the Twin Cities where a salesperson sold us tile that was inappropriate for the location and function where it would be installed. I think the salespeople must work on commission and will tell you what they think you want to hear to make the sale. This time the salesperson sold us white marble tile for a steam shower we were building. After installing it, we read online that white marble is inappropriate for steam showers because it oxidizes to an ugly brown color. After spending thousands of dollars and countless hours installing the tile, we have a tile that is turning an ugly brown color. I will never buy tile from the Tile Shop again.
