Roosevelt Park Zoo is a Seasonal Zoo Open from May to October. The Zoo's Mission Statement strives to promote wildlife understanding and conservation through public education and maintenance of high quality exhibits. The Roosevelt Park Zoo was established in 1920 with the first animal being a male bison from Montana. The following year a bear den and zoological building were added to the zoo. During the 1940s through the 1960s, the zoo animal population greatly increased and the area started to look like a zoo. Admission: Adults-$8.50, Military Adults-$7.50, Student (with college ID)-$7.50, Children (Ages 3-12)-$4.50, Seniors (Ages 55 and older)-$7.50, Children 2 & under - Free
