This is exactly what I told my best friend as a previous student at this 'school'.

" 1st you learn nothing

2nd it's nearly impossible to schedule a drive after you're done with the classes

3rd they make you pay for freaking everything. To use the website where you schedule drives, for the class, for gas, and if you have the people there schedule drives for you.

4th the lady in the office [doesn't do her job well]

5th there is a set list of office hours but whether or not the lady will follow those hours depends on her

6th the instructors are super strict"



The instructors there told me that it would be fine to do a walk in appointment in Weslaco or Rio Grande City and that I wouldn't have to schedule an appointment. Yeah, right. You need to schedule months in advanced for Weslaco DPS. They tell us to bring a ton of unnecessary documents for getting the license and they aren't professional at all.

One instructor, Mr. De La Garza, raised his voice at a student who was parallel parking for the first time ever and using the practice poles with no surrounding cars or traffic. Another instructor, Mr. Leal, is too strict and while it's a good idea to be strict he doesn't realize that he has scared some first time drivers. Nothing is learned in the classroom setting, and the lady at the front desk doesn't do her job. I have no idea how this 'school' became accredited by TEA, but I think someone should randomly observe this place and revoke the rights for these people to teach Driver's Education.

Anyone reading this should take my advice and go to Benavides in McAllen instead.
