Hi! I lived there about 2 years and I liked so much the life in the reserve at cimarrion.

Good location!! and good experience!!!

As a new resident to South Texas, I searched for a new location to reside while I worked in Mission and Mcallen, and while searching I came upon The Reserve at Cimmaron, the curb appeal and common areas were very nice and drew me in to check out the rest of the property. After entering the property office I was greeted by a very nice and professional staff and made to feel like home even before seeing an apartment. I was shown the model unit and also the unit I would move into if approved for my lease. After signing my lease and moving in I was treated like family and had no issues with my apartment or the property. The property was fairly priced and well maintained and would recommend to anybody moving to the Mission/Mcallen area.

The apartment has a decent layout and a private washer and dryer which is convenient. No issues with the space itself, the issues lie with the property management. There is no regulation of children running around screaming and cars blasting music during all hours of the day and night. There is no respect for privacy. Inspectors came in whenever they wanted without permission and at one point came in the apartment while I was showering. Thankfully, I was able to wake my boyfriend up and he made them leave. Our apartment was not cleaned before we moved in and after talking to neighbors neither were theirs. After moving in we found a huge whole in our bathtub, which they tried to blame on us and should have been replaced before we moved in. Wasn't fixed for more than 4 months and the work done looked terrible. Apparently there was also damage to the microwave which we didn't notice at move in, and is now being taken from our security deposit. There is no maintenance or cleaning done between tenants even though they take whatever they want from your security deposit on move out to cover those expenses. The whole process is a scam. I have lived in more than 5 different apartment complexes and always received my full deposit back. There are apartments just as nice and with double the space available near downtown McAllen and Edinburg with out all the hassle at similar or lower cost.

First of all, if you have kids age about 10 and above, I do not recommend. I feel they don't like kids.They are not allowed to play much, cannot make noise, cannot play with a ball because it will be taken away, kids cannot ride anything that has wheels (ex.bike,skates,skooters,skateboards, etc.) there are no security cameras except in the entrance, but being such luxury apartments, I think they should have more surveillance cameras. The noise from upstairs is terrible because their floors are not made of concrete, it is just wood. You can literally look at your ceiling and see the pieces of wood already being marked from the apartment above you. I have seen other apartment ceilings and they do not look like that, obviously because they are made of concrete. Another thing that bothers me is that the people that have pets a lot of the times do not pick up after them and you walk thru the sidewalks and you see all the poop just there. Gross :/ I will not recommend for the price and I will not consider renting again :(

Ridiculously over priced, under delivers and the money gouging management is far from an asset.Your contract cannot be terminated (standard Texas clause of paying for an additional month and a 30 day notice doesn't apply under ANY circumstances).I've paid over $4000 for an apartment that I haven't lived been living in on account of an emergency that necessitated moving to a different state and as though that weren't enough I was charged an additional $30 fine because I called in to make a payment one day after labor day . It's by far the most ludicrous system lacking a modicum of concern and rational.Extremely poor!
