If anyone is looking into moving into a new home, all I can say is pray that Laguna Shores Management Corp. is not your Homeowners Association! Normally, I don't like to write negative reviews about any company, but I feel like my fiancé and I have been wronged by this HOA on more than one occasion. It has been a nightmare trying to get architectural plans approved by them. While I understand that these things do take time, we have submitted 3 plans for a new pool we want built and every time we are denied because the plans are lacking. When our pool designer called Laguna Shores Management Corp. to ask a few questions about what additional information they were requesting, Marie Whitehouse, a manager, told us that she would not talk to our pool designer or answer any of their questions. Completely rude and unprofessional.



Also, our home is on a corner lot. When my fiance bought the house 17 years ago, the association was keeping up the shrubs on the side of our property, next to the road, which is about 12 feet of land. Only a few years ago, the association told him that the 12 feet of property outside our wall that they were maintaining was actually part of our property and we are now responsible for keeping it up. They refused to rebuild the wall to enclose our true property. Absolutely a nightmare dealing with them, and if you can avoid them, do so at all costs.
