Nordby Upholstery has always been a family business. Founded in 1971 by Davids father, who picked up the trade from his uncles, as a boy in Minnesota. The first shop was located at Higgins & 6th St. on the now hipstrip of Missoula. David would be dismissed from Hellgate High and walk over to help out with current projects and deliveries. All the while, absorbing tricks of the trade from his father.
