I highly recommend Northmann Knifeworks. I took in all my kitchen knives and Mike made them better than brand new. It's fun cooking again with proper knives. Mike is professional with his craft and friendly and kind. He also sharpened two pair of scissors. It's nice to be able to cut fabric again. One pair of snipping sewing scissors didn't need sharpening so he just cleaned them up for me and didn't charge. I appreciate his honesty.

Highly recommended. I've had five blades sharpened at Northmann's, and in each case, the blades have never been sharper.

First time in Montana, I was looking for knives made from genuine and traditional craftsmanship. I found exactly what I was looking for, and more! Amazing bracelet for my wife, beautiful jewelry with genuine leather, also made by a local craftsman.

The knives are absolutely amazing. We are using them on our roadtrip in the US. As if we were carrying a part of Montana with us. We love them. Thank you Mike, for your advice, and the incredible quality of your selection of knives!

I brought Mike a small chef's knife with several small dings on the edge and one on the tip, and he did a fantastic job of bringing it back to life. He is very friendly and engaging, and knows his business very well. I would absolutely recommend Northmann Knifeworks for all your cutlery needs. And if you need to prepare for the zombie apocalypse, well, he's got you covered there too.

I went into Northmann Knifeworks to have my every day carry Gerber EVO Jr Folding Knife sharpened for field work in the Tetons this summer. Mike returned it with a great edge both on the straight and serrated areas. I found the shop quaint and Mike to be extremely helpful. There's no pressure to buy and Mike is a plethora of knowledge concerning everything from knives to sharpening and blade qualities. I'm definitely coming back for future sharpening and if I ever need a great local knife. Before you consider buying a knife from Bob Wards, Cabelas, Sportsmans, or REI, stop by and talk with Mike and let him help you find a quality blade. You'll more than likely find the right one in his shop!

Did a fantastic job. I brought in my very nice kitchen knives I bought at Seattle Cutlery and they are sharper then when I bought them. Having someone do this good of a job makes you appreciate the difference between someone how knows their craft and someone who just has the equipment.

Mike is a true professional, and knows his business; he took my classic Puma hunting knife and completely turned it into a new knife again - I had no idea it could be that sharp! His selection of handmade knives is amazing, really something to see. Whether its getting a new knife, sharpening anything you need, or just visiting about knives Northmann is where you need to go!

Mike at Northmann Knifeworks transformed my dull, junky old kitchen knives into knives so sharp and satisfying to use that it feels like I have a brand new set ...and I find excuses to use them. The edge Mike put on the blades is incredible –they now make fast and clean work of meats and vegetables with absolute minimal hand pressure …watch out carrots and tomatoes!!

I had Mike at Northmann sharpen and polish an old pocket knife that was very special to me. I found the knife about 25 years ago and an elderly friend engraved my name on one of the blades. My old friend has long since passed away and the knife is my reminder of him. The blades had been rusted and looked pretty bad. Mike put a beautiful almost mirror polish on them and made them sharp as . . . well very sharp. The knife looks great! Thanks Mike.

Mike rehabilitated my venerable kitchen knife so beautifully that cooking became an enjoyable task. He restored the blade from improper sharpenings; now slicing is safe and easy. Thanks!
