I've tried many hosts over the years for my Java apps. I was with AO Industries several years ago and decided to move somewhere else to save a few dollars. I thought, "why not?" Sure, when I first signed-on with AO in 2000 they were one of just a handful of ISP that supported Tomcat. But then I got suckered into the $5/month deal (with one-year payment) from another host - names will be spared because this is about AO, not the imitators.



A tried for almost two years to find a cheaper host that would support Java and Tomcat "just right," but no luck. Fortunately, my finances are little better now and I no longer need to worry so much, so my site is happily, and reliably, back using AO services. Thanks AO - nobody hosts Tomcat and Java like you do. They may show the same options in the quick bullet list, but you really get what you pay for. You really earn my 30 bucks a month.
