I tried to give Cabana 0 stars, but it makes you select at least one. So just know, I was going for 0 stars.



Lived there almost 2 years. Over time, it became a convict, gang-infested crime-den. I'm pretty sure they allow section-8 and HUD tenants but don't report them as such. My wife and I were held up at gun point in the parking lot a month after our car was broken into. Our thug neighbors watched and laughed as it happened, and then threatened us as we were moving out the following day.



"Security" gate never worked properly. WHEN it was closed, it would only be closed during the day and wide-open at night. Of the 4 gates, only one of them closed which certainly defeated the purpose. "Security" guards were both well into the 70's and essentially did nothing except yell at kids at the pool. They worked for free rent, which was very evident in their performance. Rarely saw a guard after dark.



Maintenance staff is lazy and their "work" is hit-or-miss at best. Office staff is racist, incompetent, and unprofessional. When the robbery happened the on-site manager tried to say that it was our fault we were robbed.



Property Management is Delaney Development, and they are somehow even less professional. Despite "letting" us break our lease, they hit us with enough erroneous fees to deplete our security deposit so that we got nothing back. To top that off, they resounded the sentiments of the on-site manager.



I would be hard pressed to find anywhere I would want to live less. My suggestion is they vacate the whole complex, tear it down, and start over with something fitting. Maybe some kind of prison...
