Cal Comfort Insulating Windows, Inc began in 1982 as a company that primarily focused on weatherizing homes and commercial buildings, windows being more of a problem than a solution. Cal Comfort Windows, Inc specialized in conscientiously installing windows. Insulating, weather-stripping and correcting structural flaws were the best way to improve energy efficiency and reduce power bills. One of the most memorable jobs Cal Comfort did back then was a complete weatherization of the buildings, offices and homes in Yosemite. Cal Comfort Windows, Inc President, Andy Elder worked as an installer at that time, eventually buying the company. The little boy in the window that you see on Cal Comfort Windows ads and on their trucks is actually Andy's son, Ben when he was 2 years old. Illustrating how important windows are in creating comfort and home. Many things have changed since Cal Comfort Window's beginnings, manufacturers, products and features.
