Elizabeth Ustach Middle School serves more than 1,000 students in grades six through eight. It employs over 60 teachers and is located in Modesto, Calif. The school also employs social workers, speech and hearing specialists, psychologists, nurses and technology specialists. Its core curriculum includes reading, social studies, science and mathematics. The school s mathematics courses focus on integers, fractions, decimals, statistics, probability and ratios. Its science programs offer information on thermal energy, ecology, cells, genetics, evolution, reactions and buoyancy. The school also organizes various summer camps that offer a variety of athletic activities, such as basketball, soccer, softball, golf and volleyball.
