I live right aroung the corner from Tina's and of course it's convenient. The girls are very sweet and hardworking. I'm not overly impressed with the pedicure I received but I can't say enough about the gel nails. I have gone 4 weeks now and still no sign of lifting. I have mine done in a French manicure so of course you can't see the out grow. I love them and will continue to go to Tina for my nails, not for the pedicure

My mom and I are from Colorado and used the yellow pages to find a good nail salon in Modesto while visiting family. We decided Tina's Nails sounded good enough and the prices were reasonable. The ladies were very friendly and asked us questions about where we're from and seemed very interested. Overall we enjoyed our time with the two ladies :)

Disappointed to say the least...



I went in this last Saturday for a regular manicure and french pedicure. When I made the appt. I was quoted $28 for regular manicure/pedicure plus $3 for the french=$31 total. Cathy did my nails, she was very nice but she carried on a conversation the whole time I was there in her foreign language with Tina who was doing another customer's nails across the salon...I thought that was a little rude. Anyways, the pedicure was done, and that turned out ok. Then Cathy started doing my manicure and she asked what color I wanted so I said I want something natural like a light pink and she asked why I wasn't also doing the french for the nails. I told her it chips too fast and she agreed and said she can just do a plain color with gel. After my nails dried up they looked terrible. There were streaks in almost every nail and missed edges where the color never made it. At this time Cathy was already with another customer so Tina came to tell me I was done and to collect the money. I told her the nails didn't look good and she looked at them and said "Oh that's just part of your nail, it's not the color. Next time choose a different color to cover the spots on your nails" EXCUSE ME? I don't have spots on my nails and I always do a light color because I'm not a fan of dark shades and this is the first I h ad this issue. She brushed my complaint like it was nothing and stated with a somewhat rude voice "$43 is your total". I asked why $43 and not $31 and she said because I wanted the gel which makes my nails last at least 3 weeks...OK so I never knew the gel was $12 extra or else I would have never agreed but I said fine ok but asked her again to take a look at my nails, as I was not satisfied at all. She repeated again that it was just my nails not the bad job that they did. I was furious but I just paid (no tip of course) and left. Today, just 3 days after the appt I am writing this review because my nails are peeling off...YES they are peeling off...so they lasted 3 days not 3 weeks. I will not be going back to this place. I would have been able to get passed the fact that I didn't like how the nails looked if Tina would have at least acknowledged they didn't do a good job rather than treat me like I had deformed nails. I could have refused to pay and just walked off but I am a little more educated than that. Tina on the other hand has no customer service skills as far as I'm concerned and that's a big plus in my book.

They are SO much better than Davids Nails!!! There prices are the same as David's Nails but you get better service. Even though she opens at 9am, she gets there early (like 7 or 8) to set up and take anyone early who might be around unlike David's Nails who shows up AN HOUR late to his opening time. The quality was incredible. David's nails CRACKED after 2 weeks, while her gel nails have stayed on for literally 5 weeks without a fill. I'd recommend her to ANYONE!

They kept a great conversation as well and if you didn't want to talk, they had the tv on. They may be a small business, but they are a hardworking group of girls.
