Recently took Our 2001 VW Golf to this locally owned business. He quoted U.S. $425 and said it would be done on Friday, this was Tuesday, and we had to pay $200 cash upfront ( never heard of that at repair shop for an amount that size?). In the meantime I needed to get tags for the car so went to get temp tags because going to be done in 4 days, we drop those off to him. Friday comes and goes...call him on Tuesday, leave tons of messages, finally calls back Thursday (now 9 days) tells us going to be $525, next day my husband goes up there now going to $550., going to be ready next day( now has had car 14 days), don't hear from him again for a week. leaving messages. Finally hear from him, can't get the part off etc. going to be done again soon. He had the car a total 33 days before he got the car finished. Now temp tags are expired. I go to pick up the car...$580- this has to be a joke! He then says I didn't drive it around because temp tags expired a few days ago. Beware
