Provided by YP.comAlthough Desert Lawn did provide cremation service for me, I paid in advance as is required. I am not totally happy with the service. I had ordered and payed for death certificates and a family member of the deceased enteredvened and had all the certificates sent to them with out Desert Lawn contacting me which should have been done since I was the one who paid for everything and needed the death certificate to take care of the deceases bills.
Also an aquantance of the family had sent money to Desert Lawn to pay for the services that had already been paid for and Desert Lawn did not send the money back to the person letting them know that the service had already been paid for, nor did they reimburse me but the kept the money which was over $1600.00. I only found this out later after I had contacted the family member to let them know that I had never received a reimbursment from Desert Lawn.

Provided by YP.comMy uncle, a Vietnam Vet recently passed away and I was left to make the funeral arrangements.....My biggest mistake was hiring Desert Lawn to handle his cremation.
I will just tell you these things....make sure they have propane and that your loved one wont sit in a room for eight days waiting for them to cremate him....a permit to transfer remains to CA is $11 not the $75 they will charge you (verified by the funeral director at Riverside National Cemetery) and if there is problems, dont expect any help from the owner, Kevin......He will not return your calls.
Desert Lawn made our families experience a trauma. I mean come on...."We werent able to cremate your Uncle on Tuesday because we ran out of propane"? When we were finally able to pick up his ashes....they were still hot. Can you imagine picking up the remains of your husband of 42 years and his ashes still being warm....my aunt was mortified. Their fee for all of this misery was over $1600 and when we asked for a partial refund for their negligence, my aunt was mailed a check for $38....this doesnt even cover the $64 they over-charged us for a state permit. One lie after another.
I have experienced several deaths with family and friends recently and have never seen such incompitence in a funeral home and it's employees. Pay the extra money for the other local funeral home in Bullhead City, AZ.
