We went for dinner for 3 people 2 cokes and a water were 3.98 the entire bill was 35.00. But I ordered fish tacos and lot of lettuce the fish in one measured 2in long by 1in wide and the other fish taco was 3in long and 2in wide. The corn was canned tasting like left over from yesterday. The rice was cold maybe because my son and husband's order had to be change they ran out of french bread (friday night) and my order probably went in first and had to sit. We don't think we will try them again, I left hungry.

We stumbled upon this wonderful resturant and can't begin to say enough about it. The food is always great and more than we can eat (but we keep trying) and the quality is always A1. Not only is the food worth the ride, but the staff is warm and friendly and the resturant is clean, clean ,clean. We eat at this resturant at least 3 times a week and we try different meals everytime. So far we have not been dissapointed in any meal. The hamburgers are huge and juicy. I only wish there were 1/2 orders on some of the items.



Believe me this isn't your cousin---just a very full and happy customer.

THE BEST PANCAKE HOUSE IN MOKENA/NEW LENOX ARE

Whoever posted the no way review was absolutely wrong. The Double Yolk Restaurant is the best thing that happened to this area in a long time. I frequent the Double yolk with my wife and three kids on a regular basis. The food is great, the portions are so big that we take the leftovers home and snack all day on them. No restaurant in Will county has portions as large as the Double Yolk, and the waitress's are friendly and fast. We are greeted by the owner's (husband and wife) Archie and Julie everytime we dine there. We also spend around $35.00 for a meal, but mind you it is better quality food and more quantity of food than you can get anyplace else. We spend around $25.00 for a McDonalds meal, and come nowhere near the excellent meals that are served at the Double Yolk. It is said to see a bad review about this restaurant, maybe if the person who wrote the bad review would have actually noticed the price of the meals he ordered he could have ordered something else a little cheaper and that way he wouldn't have been shocked when he paid the bill. If you want a cheap no quality meal, go to McDonald's or Burger King, and your kids can have a great time playing on the germ infested jungle gyms. Hats off to Archie and Julie for bringing down home food to Mokena, we LOVE The Double Yolk. We'll be back this weekend.

The only thing good about this place is the interior. From the start, the seating staff was far from organized. The wait was not bad, the wait staff, although nice, were slow, UN organized, and not confident. The food took a bit long. The over medium eggs were shy of cooked. I know i could have sent it back, but with two small children, one does not have that kind of time. The pancakes were good. The bacon tasted like the griddle, I HATE that. There was way too much cooking spray used on everything, even the toast!?



The two last one's are HUGE,

The price, me, my wife a 4 year old and a 1 year old was 35.00+tip! Holly smokes!

And finally, upon waiting to pay, the very frazzled cashier / hostess, was being bombarded by 4 complaints at once, yes 4. I saved mine for this review, she had-had enough, and so have I.



Great potential, just maybe new to the biz? Needs lot's of experienced help and a good manager. Those cost money, i realize, but you must spend some to make some, and charge less, go for volume, not gouging.
