European/specialty/unique/gourmet foods. Started in 1933 as a corner grocery by Katharina "Katy" Bodenbender and her husband, German immigrants to the QC area. Their son, Arthur, changed the focus over to specifically European items, when he became the proprietor.

Excellent choice of European food though they don't always have what you want all the time. It's a bit expensive but it beats traveling to Chicago. They have German sausage but also Irish and Scottish sausage as well as numerous other food items. Owners are helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend it.

Nice if you like old merchandise past the sell date.

Nice idea for a store, but you can find some of the exact same merchandise at TJ Maxx, fresher and cheaper.Stuff never leaves the shelf. Very cramped and crowded, poor parking lot that is hard to access from a very busy mixed residential/commercial street.
