Teaching Research Institute, established in 1960, undertakes a variety of research projects and educational activities. It conducts a comprehensive multidisciplinary program of research, technical assistance and educational evaluation. The institute undertakes a variety of research projects in the areas of early childhood education, teacher quality enhancement, special education, deaf, blindness, traumatic brain injury, dispute resolution, urban school improvement, and development and management of state and national data bases. It operates education evaluation and child development centers. Teaching Research Institute s projects are funded by a variety of local, state and national organizations, including the U.S. Department of Education, Maternal Child Health Bureau and National Institutes of Health. The institute is located in Monmouth, Ore.
