The first Waffle House restaurant was opened on Labor Day in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Ga. Since then, it has grown into a chain of more than 1,500 company and franchise-owned casual restaurants in over 25 U.S. states. It serves a variety of waffles, steaks, omelets, hamburgers, country ham, pork chops and grits. The restaurant serves specialty dishes, such as Bert's chili, Walt s soup, Alice s iced tea and Lib's patty melt. It offers hash browns in eight different ways. Waffle House serves more than 3 million pounds of grits each year and over 10,000 T-bone steaks each day. Apart from serving food, the restaurant supports various health and human service organizations, youth and education programs, and disadvantage and other civic causes. It conducts in-house events and programs, such as The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-off and the Waffle House World Waffle Eating Championship.

I got an order to go and didn't get sugar for my coffees nor did I get syrup for my waffles the steak was like rubber.I saw the employees eating on the line.Bet they had sugar and syrup.WILL NOT EAT HERE EVER AGAIN.A waste

Bad Experience

Well at or about midnight my brother and I stopped to eat at the Waffle House on 165 where their detail cop harassed us while walking out unprovoked and quietly radioed a coworker parked on the corner to stop us believing we had been drinking which we had not. In fear of being harassed by the Ouachita Sheriffs Department we called a taxi and had a family member pick the vehicle up but I thought the detail cop was there to provide safety for patrons not have them pulled over when they leave I will not go back to this Waffle House !!!!!!!! Warning
