It's sustainably harvested on foot, by hand, one at a time along a wilderness creek in the foothills of Mt. Shasta, CA each hot summer when snow melt washes down new batches daily. Stones are exactly as found in nature -- plus a good rinse. Rounded by nature to cradle in hand for easier filing of foot calluses. Thicker cell walls make for heavier-duty abrasion and durability than lighter pumice. Instruction hand-out sheet comes with bulk pieces and is printed on packaged pumice label. Stone priced from .25 to $8.00, varying in size from peanuts to coconuts.
