Well deserved 4-stars

They were rated 4 stars by the Daily News, I can see why. My husband and I love this place. He's a vegetarian and they had exactly what we he wanted. I enjoyed my pasta special. The chef made this linguini with shrimp and scallops sauteed in arugula and sun dried tomato. Fantastic. Our server was very pleasant. She took great care of us.

Much recommended... I will definitely be back and will bring friends...

Not Mediterranea?? you mean Addiwan I think

Hey,

How long ago did you go because this place changed. Im thinking you went to Addiwan which was there about 2 yrs ago. Now its called Mediterranea and its fabulous. I went with my wife and our friends and we had a great time. We all shared the sampler Mediterranean platter, which had 8 menu items. Everything on it had its own distinct flavor and we cleaned up the plate pretty nice...Yes, it was that good. For dinner, I had the Trio Grilled Platter. I don't think I've ever had meat that tender, and the rice it came served over was outstanding. My wife had the Rissoto Mariscada and she loved it. She's big on seafood and is pretty picky when it comes to italian dishes. She had nothing but great things to say about her dish...

After dinner we went into the Arabian room to enjoy our wine and dessert. It was really intimate and cozy...its now our new spot.

I'd say give it another shot. I'm sure you'll find that your experience at Mediterranea will far exceed that of Addiwan.

Don't waste your time or money

Not only was service very, very poor - the food was average at best. Additionally, we used a gift certificate purchased as a Holiday Gift in 12/06 and was told, very rudely, by the manager that it was expired (his apparently last only 2-3 months but it was not noted on gift cert.). Of course, we argued that most reputable establishments provide at least a year and mngt ended up accepting the gift cert. Not a pleasant experience.
