First of all, I want to inform everyone that it must've been a bad day for Pam. From my experience, I can say everyone there was very patient and kind. The owner Joy, is one of the kindest salon owners I know. There can be misinterpretations, as I know english is her second language, so that could've been the case. New 2000 Nails is my go to salon in Montclair, and always will be, as the generous staff and scrupulous work is never disappointing.

I must say...this place is a beautiful place to go to and definitely be ralaxed...the employees immediately greet you upon entering this establishment...are always pleasant...it's just always a relaxing atmosphere. The employees do a wonderful job ALWAYS...never disappointed...I did business with them for 3years and unfortunately had to break up with them recently. to be exact, thanksgiving eve. the owner is AWFUL, MONEY HUNGRY, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND MOST OF ALL ((((PHONEY))))!!!!!!. I am a loyal person...I loved, loved, this shop. but can not tolerate the owner. It's a shame that I had to make a decision to no longer continue to patron this salon, because I will say again that the employees that work at this salon are wonderful, but I can not continue to patron someone who doesn't respect me as a customer...I went to the salon thanksgiving eve to have my usual mani/pedi...which i've never had a problem before...however this day my mani wasn't done the usual way (with perfection) so I decided to just go back to the salon and have it redone...after all I did pay for a service...when I went bcak and told the owner why I was back she immediately sat me down and once the technician looked over my mani...she even said "what happened?"...so she completely did the mani over and asked me if the owner said I would be charged...I replied well I would hope not because I was just here and I never had this happen before...the owner immediately approached me and then quoted a price to me for a polish change...( crickets) wow...I was very shocked that she behaved in such a manor. I then told her not a problem paid for the service that I had just paid for 2 days ago...what happened to pleasing the customer? what happened to the customer always being right? well in this patron's eyes...that is not so...so now I am broken hearted because that was truely my favorite place...but I the owner is just vicious...I've just had a bad experience with the owner...she's not a genuine person at all...and not at all loyal to her customers...only if you're spending an obscene amount of money...because this place can be pricey...overall they are very clean...and I was never disappointed with a service until this one time...to sum it up...the owner is a JERK!!!! Now...I must search for another salon... smh!!!:(
