Ambrosia the name itself does not deliver the quality. been visiting this place since 2013 was OK for the price tag on the menu. Since January 2015 visited 3 times it was total waste of money. Ordered Shahi Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masssala and butter chicken, also garlic naan bread. One of the occasion Butter Chicken dish had more gravy and left over shreds of chicken pieces were found, All the dishes the gravy tasted the same with no difference in texture, taste or consistency of the dish. Chicken is over cooked, chewy and dry. Paneer on other hand was hard and dry. Naan bread was hard to tear in to two piece, when put in the mouth it felt like chewy rubbery as if one is chewing a piece of leather.



Past 3 times this place failed to deliver the quality Indian food to the public ( As tourist is not aware of the quality standard).



I would recommend drive on highway 1 north to Santa Cruz where there are about 4 or 5 Indian restaurants to choose from rather wasting the hard earn money in Monterey.or choose any other restaurant.

meat tasted like it was old, naan was good, sauces were lackluster, sytrofoam and plastic bowls and utensils are cheap

This place, has such Great food and the atmosphere is just fabulous. The waiters were very professional. People from all over come to eat here. I went with a group of friends to the (all you can eat lunch) and my pallet was dancing with joy from all of the different flavors of the food. I would highly recommend this place to eat.

The atmosphere is nice outside. Service is friendly, but not always attentive even though it was not that busy. The menu is varied and offerings are plenty. The food itself is decent, but not the best I have had. It lacked that certain Indian flair that many other restaurants have. Overall, not a bad place--worth a visit.
