I started my project with a contractor who was not familir with the Carmel building department. After talking with Francis for 10 min I knew he was the contractor to do my remodel. He finished on time and on budget.

I looked everywhere for a contractor to take care of my home repairs. I found Francis to take care of all of my repair/remodel needs no matter the size. I recommend Francis to all my friends.

Francis is great. He did a lot of repair, updating and remodeling for me, and I am very happy with everything that he has done. He is very experienced and gets the job done in a correct way in the time frame that he discusses in detail first. He is flexible and very understanding.

I always felt I have put the job in the right hands. I highly recommend him.

Francis has always returned my phone calls and advised me well. I live in pacific grove and he dealt with the city planning department and building department as nesary, francis got the job done!!

Francis Alwill was refered from my good friend who is his long time client. I was not sure how much was involved with my remodel. Francis drew me up a proposal lining out every detail. I found his prices for labor to be competitive and fair. I was glad that Francis was there to ease my concerns throughout the project. He did an awesome job upgrading my kitchen! I enjoyed having him because he took all my ideas, put each one into great thought, and he came up with a great result! He was very knowledgeable, and was able to help me make my home the best that it could be. He explained to me pro and cons of each option, so that I could make the best educated decision for my home, and also made my kitchen cost effective. I enjoyed his character and humor throughout the whole process! I strongly recommend Francis to everyone!

Run don't walk from this guy!!! Serious attitude problem and general sloppy work with my brief experience. Also odd how the good reviews resemble his own writing and typos.

Francis has done several jobs around my old home, the most recent a complete repainting. The worker he chose was pleasant, on time, and skilled. The house needed a lot of scraping and sanding. He previously installed a new kitchen sink and faucet for which he had to problem solve. I've know Francis for at least 5 years and recommend him as a general contractor and for the work he does himself. I've seen him handle difficult situations by being courteous, calm, confidant and knowing that he does not have to "prove himself" by name calling or picking a fight. He is rather a peace maker, solid in his knowledge of his skill.

General Contractor Francis Alwill got repair jobs in my house. I first hired him for small repairs. he is very easy to get a hold of and to negotiate. Reasonable price and professional job guaranteed!! I had other general contractors, handy men, and plumbers for repairs but now I call only Francis Alwill whenever I have some problems at home.



He also replaced heating ducks and old pipes in the kitchen. He installed a drywall in the garage. He remodeled my master bedroom.



He showed up on time. I did not know that I had to get a permit for the roof. He scheduled city inspection before & after the job in a timely manner and he provided me the permit when the job was completed. He did not charge me any extra money. I got the city permit right away.



His crew members were professional and did all the jobs on time.



Whenever I have some problems with my house, I feel comfortable giving him the job. I refered him to my friends and they all love him.



I highly recommand him for any repairs!

Refused to return leftover materials from a job I paid for- took materials to another job.



Left us waiting over an hour and fifteen minutes while he parked his Mercedes cargo van in our driveway and knocked door to door soliciting work from our neighbors.



Workmanship was SHODDY one week after project was finished it rained and my house flooded



When called into question about workmanship we were verbally assaulted and he repeatedly used the term "N*gger" and "B*tch" in reference to us. Problems have still not been addressed.



Has only references from elderly clients who have told me they don't know if they were being price gouged.



Charges way too much for simple jobs
