Mary Borses, MD, FACC, is a California native who graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in biological science. She then joined the Army and received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. After completing an internal medicine residency in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dr. Borses became chief of medicine at Fort Eustis, Virginia. She then pursued a cardiology fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas and became chief of cardiology at Fort Hood, Texas. After honorable discharge as a lieutenant colonel, Dr. Borses practiced as a cardiologist in Texas for eight years. She joined Montage Medical Group-Cardiology in 2015 and is particularly interested in helping patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, palpitations, and fluid retention. Areas of concentration include coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, and preventative cardiology. She is adept in performing and/or interpreting transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, stress tests, rhythm monitors, coronary CT angiograms, and electric cardioversions. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
