Children s Law Center of Los Angeles is a nonprofit, public interest legal organization that serves abused, neglected and abandoned children. It was created by the Superior Court over a decade ago to serve as appointed counsel for these youth. With a staff of over 180 lawyers, paralegals and investigators, Children s Law Center of Los Angeles represents more than 80 percent of the approximately 30,000 children under the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles County Juvenile Dependency Court. Its attorneys appear on behalf of children in day-to-day dependency proceedings. The court ensures that all youth receive permanent homes through reunification with their rehabilitated parents, adoption, legal guardianship or long-term foster care. Children s Law Center of Los Angeles takes care of children s education, awareness and health.
