With over 45 years in Higher Education, Amridge University has taught in the online education arena since 1993. Through the vision of the leadership of the institution, Amridge was chosen as one of the first 15 participants in the nation selected by the U.S. Department of Education to pilot Distance Education on a broad level - resulting in a change to the federal law to allow more students to access distance education.

- Amridge University operates on a 15 week semesterly basis and uses an academic calendar to articulate important guidelines for students during the academic year. The Fall semester runs from September to December, during which a 10 week and 8 week selection of courses are offered, followed by the Spring semester which runs from January to April including a 10 week and 8 week selection of courses and the Summer semester which runs from April to August including a 10 week and 8 week selection of courses.

- Amridge University is open to all academically qualified persons. The University has developed a streamlined admissions process to help prospective students complete the process expeditiously so they can begin their studies. Students are strongly encouraged to work closely with University staff members to complete all steps to attain official (non-provisional) admission status for their respective degree program. Upon acceptance to the University, each student is assigned an Academic Advisor whose primary responsibility is to oversee the academic progress of each student and motivate them to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.All applicants must submit an online admission application through the MyAmridge portal which is accessible from the university homepage. The application fee for all students is $50.00. At special events and during special offerings this fee may be waived.
