What a fabulous experience! Staff was terrific and exam was thorough. Have been using another optician for 4 years, and was dismayed when was told they no longer accepted my vision insurance. Looking in the yellow pages I found Hour Optical and am happy to say I will be a customer for years to come! From exam to picking up glasses they have been pleasant to work with, efficient, and professional.

I was very pleased with the service that I received and the quality of my glasses and contacts. I would recommend Hour Glass to anyone that I know who is in need of an eye exam and new glasses or contacts.

hours glass optical has a very friendly staff that are there to help with any questions. they also provide good deals for glasses and a nice selection. my glasses were a well deserved purchase and the exams were great too.

I have had vision insurance for years. I took my daughter to Hourglass Optical thinking I would be very happy with it. I like the location and hours and decided to try it. BIG MISTAKE. My first clue should have been when I called to make the appointment, the person taking the information didn't even know HOW to take my information properly. I ended up getting called back because he had made a mistake.



We had set an appointment for a Saturday - thinking this is PERFECT. Once my daughter was done with her eye exam, we set out to choose her glasses. I wasn't asked as many questions as "normal' but thought nothing of it since they saw my insurance. When I asked for the cost the woman could not tell me. She said the only person who could price it was making glasses and I would just either have to order them or wait until Monday. WHAT THE HECK????



So, trusting that I knew it would be reasonable, I went on my way. I had used this insurance for years and always paid around $60 for the eye exam and glasses. When my daughter went to pick them up, she called me and said they were $175!! I couldn't believe it!! So I called back to speak with the gentleman and boy did I get attitude. He treated ME as if I were the criminal. He started going on about how he was just going to stop taking insurance because this was happpening too much. Basically the lady had ordered the MOST EXPENSIVE lenses for me without even asking. Instead of being a gracious vendor, he told me people like me were the reason he was having trouble in these tough financial times. He couldn't do anything until Monday because he didn't have time, but he would take them and put cheaper lenses in and give me the difference.



His staff's failure to do their job properly shouldn't have been my problem. I never bothered to return lest I get a "spit on the food" type incident with her glasses.



DON'T GO THERE! They will not treat you right.
