The Retirement Systems of Alabama is a safe keeper of the pensions for thousands of residents of the state of Alabama. It provides retirement and other benefits to the employees of state government, public education and some local, county, public or quasi-public organization or political subdivision. The RSA is composed of the Employees Retirement System, Teachers Retirement System and the Judicial Retirement Fund. The RSA has a membership of more than 297,000 people, including more than 205,000 active members. RSA manages a total of 19 funds with assets of approximately $26.6 billion.
