Team Ward built the first welded-seam aluminum Jon boat in 1945. This design eliminated leakage problems caused by rivets. More than 55 years later, Team Ward is still building welded-seam aluminum boats. The current production line War Eagle boats has been in production since 1992. These boats are marketed toward avid sportsmen fishermen and commercial duck hunting guides involved in outdoor recreation year round. War Eagle boats range in size from 14 feet to 23 feet. Each boat has structured ribs that are uniformly spaced and welded into place and run high up the sides to eradicate built in stress. Team Ward installs flotation materials under the seats, decks and rear pods for safety. The company also produces accessories, such as console steering, filet board, console galley, pole and rod holders, storage options and trolling motor brackets. Special custom features include transom design, paint, carpet and roll on ramps. The War Eagle boat was named the official aluminum boats for Ducks Unlimited.
