John Bondhus founded Bondhus in 1964 after many years as a tool and die maker. Its first product was a ballpoint hex tool, the Balldriver. The company has become one of the leading ballpoint hex tool producers and distributes its products throughout the world. United States Army tank commanders used it during the Gulf War. Printing press operators use it in Singapore, South Dakota and Syria. Musicians who play guitars also use it. Bondhus line of products includes screwdrivers, T-handles, L-wrenches, screw-holding tools and bits and blades. Bondhus maintains corporate headquarters and a sales office in Monticello, Minn.
