I had purchased a full wardrobe of business and formal clothing over about 5 years. Those things either had not been tailored at all or they were tailored poorly just after I bought them. In addition to that I had lost about 45 lbs in the past year.

I took them to The Sewing Basket and had everything altered. They all came back absolutely perfect! They spent the time when fitting to make sure it was a proper fit and the quality was tremendous. I think that the seems they worked on are stronger now than they were from the manufacturer.

The pricing was very reasonable and they were honest about a couple of shirts and a blazer that needed a lot of work on the shoulders by saying that it would be cheaper to buy new items that fit in the shoulders rather than pay for the labor on those items.

I also had one of my suits cleaned after altering and their dry cleaner did a wonderful job as well. I've never seen such crisp creases.

My only regret is that I'm moving away from Vermont soon and I suspect that I will have trouble finding another tailor as good as the ones at The Sewing Basket.
