I have been going to the Montrose Vet Clinic for several years, and am very happy with how my animals are treated and how I am treated. I have horses, dogs and cats. Every member of the staff is courteous and informed, there are several veterinarians who are all top notch, and there is an answering service in case of emergency. Anyone who has horses knows emergencies don't happen Mon-Fri 8-5, so it is very comforting to know if the unthinkable happens I can reach my veterinarians. Thank you, Montrose Veterinary Clinic!

This office is great for simple procedures such as shots and neuter/spay, but I would not rely on them for more serious health issues. Several years ago, my GSD became very sick. The young vet claimed she had cancer and she would need a bone test in a facility an hour away. Through suggestions of experienced rescue personnel, I suggested to the vet that we try other options first, she refused and told me she would not help me and that I needed to take my dog for a bone marrow test or go somewhere else. I went somewhere else, and found out my girl did NOT have cancer, but rather an infection. Unfortunately, we lost days to this Montrose vet's incompetence, and lost our girl. After reviewing medical records for both vets, I realized there was a dramatic difference between the two. The young vet here wrote a few paragraphs for diagnosis with little to back it up, and included an attack on me. She allowed her ego to override adequate care. I will never bring my animals to this vet again.

When I initially took my dog to this vet they were very polite and nice helping us, being excited to put us on a payment plan and start care for our animals. They provided care for my dog for almost 4 months causing a major infection in his leg. When I asked the owner about the care that was given and the procedures that were used and why specifically they took my dog off of anabiotic's if the infection was so out-of-control. The owner freaked out on me.This doctor does not want you to question anything regarding her medical opinion and procedures. She became very hostile and rude to me on the phone and asked me to come pick up my dog and to never return again. After paying them over $600 over the past four months in owing them a balance of 150 I felt like this was wrong to be treated this way because I questioned her. Long story short I ended up having to call the police and have them stand by while I was able to get my dog out, they were holding him for ransom saying unless I paid the bill in full, contrary to what our contract was, that I was not going to pick up my dog and that she would see me in small claims court over the next month. It's not right for a business to put the public in a position of duress or victimize The public in this manner. in the end she agreed to take $50 for the service that was provided for that day and agreed to let me take my dog. This was unprofessional and unacceptable I will definitely be reporting her to the state veterinarian board for further review.

I have used the Montrose Vet Clinic for years. They have always shown care and compassion for all my animals, big and small. It's not their fault that they have to charge for their services. It's the people that take advantage of business who extend credit that are to blame for stringent payment policies! Doctors Jake, Nicki and Rachel are all great. I would recommend them to anyone!

i CALLED THIS VET CAUSE MY CHUAICHUA WAS VERY ILL BECUASE I ONLY HAD A 140 DOLLARS OF THE 200 HE WANTED THEY JUST LET MY POOR 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER PET DIE IN HER ARMS SHE WAS DEVISTATED AND THEY DIDNT CARE ALL CAUSE I WAS A WHOLE 60 DOLLARS SHORT OF THERE FEE .......R.I.P TOOTSIE THE POOR BABY
