New to this area, picked this office for the appearrance. Older lab losing weight, not eating and stiff hind legs. Took him in ,very professional acting staff. Wanted to take blood, $130. and xray (2) $180, Came out after 5 minutes, said your dog has a large mass in his stomach, probably cancer, you should put him down, he'll be dead in two weeks, That was their diagnosis.
My husband loves this dog as do I, we don't give up like that. But that didn't stop them from shoving cremation plans, photos of urns in our face. I couldn't believe he was dying. We paid $380 and left to take our friend home to spoil. Now it has been 6 weeks, our friend is eating 2 big meals and still wagging tail and wants to be by our side. We took him to a second opinion this morning after I requested xray and records from Horse Hound. They did not send blood test results, and very little documentation. New vet was fabulous, spent over an hour and said xray showed no mass, that he has arthritis, and needs extra nutrition to build him up. And think we were told to put him DOWN.
