Discover Essential Horsemanship (DEH) My name is Bruce, and I've been involved with horses for over 20 years. In this time I have studied several training techniques of natural horsemanship and communication. The result? The development of my own philosophy regarding the rewarding relationship between horse, and horseman. Throughout the years I have seen first hand, on too many occasions, people who have compromised their own safety as a consequence of insufficient knowledge and experience. Usually these events begin as small benign and seemingly harmless oversights. However, when one is dealing with a 1200 pound animal, the smallest and most easily preventable mistake can burgeon into a much more disastrous conclusion. It is my mission to minimize the occurrence of such events by properly preparing potential horse owners for the task at hand. Never the less, we understand that preparing to buy a horse is a big step. With that in mind, Discover Essential Horsemanship continues to provide focused and concise riding instruction for the novice wanting to experiment with it as a leisure activity.
