An authentic Spanish-style mansion, the Hacienda de las Flores sits on land that was once the hunting ground for Miwok Indians. The historic town-owned structure is painted white with blue trim, and is surrounded by well-maintained park grounds. Inside the Hacienda, hardwood floors, beamed ceilings and a fireplace create a warm and inviting setting. Outdoors, a large lawn spreads out behind the building, enhanced by blue spruce trees, pines, weeping willows, palms and flowers. A circular flowerbed and fountain in the middle of the patio serve as the focal point for large parties or wedding receptions. From the upper Hacienda lawn, flagstone stairs lead down to the Pavilion, a semicircular building with huge Corinthian columns overlooking a walled garden with lawn and patio. A set of large wrought-iron gates leads guests into the enclosure, where small seated functions or ceremonies can take place. Tranquil and secluded, the Hacienda offers one of the prettiest garden environments for special events in the East Bay.
