The company manages several properties, as well as fledgling businesses. Their properties are labeled as efficiency, and at times, they do meet the minimum required legal standards. Then, when a drain leak in the kitchen was immediately brought to their attention, and they allowed it to continue for several days in an upstairs unit, their lack of urgency caused irreparable damage to several units, with mold more so than anything. Luckily for them, their tenants care about their own health enough to scrub the toxins off of the walls and floor, without the aid of industrial product that management doesn't use anyway, as they don't have it. They CAN, and will, provide you with a tarp-like roof over your head. If that's efficient for you, and you're okay with inconsiderate, non law abiding tenants as neighbors, then their units are the place for you.

Alayna Y.'s review puzzles me. I didn't have the problems she did and her review is silly. I don't need my landlord to tell me every time my rent is due. I pay on time and so no problems. People need to take responsibility and get help reading their leases if they can't figure out how to pay rent on time. I was her neighbor and did not smell or see any drug activity. I did however smell and clean up all her cig butts as she used the common area as her own personal ashtray, YUCK. The smells from her unit disappeared after she left and all the trash she was collecting was thrown out by the cleaners. This apartment building is hit or miss. The rent is cheap, so you get what you pay for. Some units are better than others. They are all efficiency units and the building is older. The landlord is prompt to fix problems, but again, the building is older.

If you were thinking about renting a property from this guy: don't. My family lived at the apartments on 1370 Devon Ave and had nothing but problems. Our AC was out and they did not fix it for three weeks when it was in the middle of the summer. Our bathroom ceiling literally fell down and it took them over a month to fix it. My infant and I broke out in a rash from whatever we were exposed to due to that. The landlord said that we didn't pay our rent, yet didn't inform us until the next month. Our bank statement said otherwise. So, he charged us double, plus whatever fees he came up with. We had constant issues with other tenants blatant drug usage in the bulding, our hallways and apartment itself reeked of weed some nights. It's a good price, but you might as well pay more and not live in this crappy building.
