Provided by Doctor.comI became a patient of Dr. Baillie's while I was a student at Duke Divinity in 1994. Dr. Baillie was on staff at the Duke Medical Center. I went into the ER thinking I had a kidney infection only to discover I had pancreatitis with my liver and pancreas enzymes in the thousands.I was admitted immediately. I spent about 6 weeks or longer in the hospital there at that time. I am sure if it were not for Dr. Baillie and his team that I would not have left that hospital alive. I've battled with pancreatitis and elevated liver enzymes since then.we still don't know the cause and I'm still a mystery--But, Dr. B is not a mystery. Dr. Baillie is the best as far as I'm concerned. I've been blessed to have the best doctors in the field. One thing that I liked about Dr. Baillie was the way he treated me with respect --like a person and not a problem. He is very knowledgeable. He takes the time to answer questions in an open and honest way. The reason I'm on this site now is because he moved from Wake-Forest (Baptist Hospital) to his new location in Morehead City and I'm willing to travel completely across the state to see him. I literally trust him with my life! It's time now to make some difficult decisions and I feel I can only make them with Dr. Baillie's advice and assistance. I have recommended him numerous times and always with confidence that the person will receive the best treatment from him and his staff. The only reason I didn't rate some of the areas is because I've not been to his "new practice" in Morehead City. But, having had him for a doctor off and on now for almost 20 years, I feel I can honestly rate my experience with him and his staff.
