I call Dr. Gurigus and his staff "MY" staff because of the exceptional care they provided. I had a server case that left me completely dependent on others for everything. Dr. G went out of his way to ensure that I was taken care of until I was mobile again. He had a lot of work to do on my C5,6 & 7 and his staff stayed right by myside and ensured me that if anyone can "fix me" it was Dr. G. and he has. As a teacher in the public school system I recommend Carolina Center for Surgery for any of my needs pertaining to the well-being of my health.Melissa Earl

I recently had a hernia repair by Dr. Michael Bell and my experience was great. I did not have any trouble with the procedure or after. As far as my privacy goes, the employees under his direction are held to the same HIPPA regulations that the physician is. Answering questions and giving the information is held confidential to all of his employees.

Dr. Bell recently performed a colonoscopy on me. It was not my first, so I thought I knew what to expect. I was horrified when he started the procedure without me being fully under. I remember him saying this might be a little uncomfortable as he proceeded to do a prostrate exam of which I was not previously advised of, I had just had done two weeks previous by my family doctor, then he pumped air up my rectum. That is what put me over the top, the pain was unbeiveable and intolerable. He then inserted the scope and I could actually see the same thing he was seeing on the monitor. It was at about this time that I either passed out from the pain or they increased the anesthetic. When I came to I was shouting "that God Damm Son of a Bitch" referring to Dr. Bell and the pain he had put me through. I was scheduled to have another procedure done by Dr. Bell at a later date, I promptly cancelled that procedure. In regards to Patient privacy, that's a joke. After he sees you in the examining
