MC Bank is a community bank founded in Morgan City, La., in 1955 that serves the parishes that hug Highway 90 from Lafayette to Houma, La. The bank has a main office and a branch in Morgan City and branches in Bayou Vista, Amelia and Lafayette, La. MC Bancshares was formed in 1991 as a one-bank holding company with its solely owned subsidiary being Morgan City Bank & Trust Company. Simultaneous with the merger of the bank into the holding company, the bank's name changed to MC Bank & Trust Company. In 1997, MC Bank acquired Guaranty Bank & Trust Company of Morgan City. MC Bank offers a variety of checking and savings accounts, including money market and individual retirement accounts. It offers certificates of deposit, as well as online banking, telephone banking services, check cards, safe deposit boxes and commercial banking services.
