California-based Mission Bell Manufacturing is among the first in the industry to become certified for Green Building manufacturing; a rating system based on creating environmentally responsible buildings. The company specializes in architectural woodwork, millwork and custom casework. Originally named Morgan Hill Millwork, the company was founded in 1959, by Leonard Scianna and his wife Marjorie, along with two other business partners. Mission Bell is a second-generation family-owned and operated business. Mission Bell occupies a 61,000 square-foot production facility that accommodates manufacturing of custom woodwork fixtures, specialty veneer panels, laminates and high production casework and counter tops. In addition to commonly requested woods such as cherry and maple, Mission Bell also works with rare, exotic woods, including eucalyptus, sycamore, anigre and pearwood. The company is based in Morgan Hill, Calif.
