The College of Engineering and Mineral Resources offers a range of educational opportunities to students. It provides degrees at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. The college has an enrollment of more than 2,100 undergraduate and over 750 graduate students. The College of Engineering and Mineral Resources maintains a staff of nearly 100 full-time faculty members. It offers academic programs in biometric systems and computer science. The college also provides courses in chemical, mining, mechanical and aerospace, and civil and environmental engineering. The College of Engineering and Mineral Resources maintains an extension and outreach department. In addition, it offers degree programs in hygiene and occupational health and safety. The college is a part of the West Virginia University.
