My regular salon was booked, so I had to go to LKHA. There was a lot of availability at the last minute, which should have told me the kind of service I was about to receive. The facility is nice; however, the attitude of most of the staff offsets the vibe. When I walked in, I was given a tour and asked if I need anything. I declined. Once my service started, I was sitting around the "color bar" with 2 or 3 other girls. I was ignored the whole time while the rest of the people there talked about kids and babies ( I cannot relate). That was an annoyance, but not a deal breaker. My stylist asked what I wanted done. I said I wanted to go lighter in color. She asked if I wanted a cut and I said no. ...3 hours later (no joke) My hair was DARKER with strands of gray and I was charged $190 for a crappy color job and $50 for the cut that I specifically said I did not want. When I left I was on the verge of tears and I just wanted out of there. The next day I called and asked to talk to the manager. I told her I was unhappy with the ugly gray hair I just paid $190 for. She put the blame on the stylist and said I could talk to her. The stylist called me (3 days later) and said I could come back and pay an additional $190 for a new service. I was hoping they could at least fix the travesty they created, but nope! I am already a very light blonde, so I wasn't asking a lot to go lighter. Overall, very unprofessional and VERY overpriced for what you get. Avoid at all costs.

i.e.,I have lived in morgantown for over a year now. When I was new to the area I was referred to this salon. I get my hair cut/colored regularly. I tried to schedule an appointment for a year! They obviously do not want business from new clients. They NEVER answer the phone and average around two weeks on email replies. I gave up. I hear great things from people but this salon obviously does not want new clientele.

Hair Salons come and go, but you can be assured that at LKHA whatever you are looking for in a cut, color, style, etc... you will find it there. Lauran and her stylists are miracle workers. They strive for a level of professionalism and perfection that I have never ever experienced at any other hair salon. I have visited salons on the east and west coast, but I can say with confidence, I yet to find a stylist or a salon that makes me feel as relaxed and reassured as Lauran and the girls at LKHA. I recommend LKHA to anyone who takes pride in there appreance, enjoys being pampered and having no stress about what you may look like once you are done.

I had been to another salon in Morgantown where the hair stylist cut my hair short, with no style and colored it orange and pink! After crying for 2 days, I searched for a Paul Mitchell salon and found Lauren Kirk. I went in for a consultation and the hair stylists were great. They told me they could color correct my hair and style it, but due to the damage by the previous salon, they could not do color block. I scheduled an appointment and 3 different hair stylists worked on my hair. Miracle, Brenna and Mallory did an awesome job! They colored it a great auburn, trimmed it and texturized it. I now can go out and about and not feel like Bozo the clown. I highly recommend this salon and the stylists!!!! As the stylists in this salon attend at least 2 courses a year, they are up to date with current trends, cuts, etc.My hubby is very relieved that I discovered this salon as I now do not need to fly back to Washington state to have my hair stylist back there do my hair!Janice B

I have been to many of the high end salons in the Morgantown Area and I have to say my overall experience, as well as my results are what keep my coming back to LKHA everytime. From the relaxation of the dimly lit, massage and pressure point aromatherapy shamoo bar, to the fact that it is never overbooked and crowded so you feel pressured out for you stylist to finish. From the time you walk in, they take the time to make you feel comfortable and meet you needs. They are never in a hurry, always listen and are the only person to work on you from start to finish. The stylist, Miracle, that I have been going to for almost a year always remembers every detail of my life so matter how long its been since I've seen her and she always makes me feel welcome. She has also never criticized the occasional kitchen beautician attempts either. In a world that never slows, it is truly an escape...either for fun and pamper or a truly cathartic release. I recommend the experience completely.
